The "Keith Richards" tuning is back! Also known as "slack key guitar" we are breaking down one of my favorite tunings. Today we are tuning to open G, I go back and forth between open D and open G as my favorite tunings, today I had a ton of fun with this tuning. We are going to break it down by starting off by getting in tune, drop both E strings to D and the a to G, and then we are going to go through 5 beginner licks that can be used in a variety of situations. Everything from kicking off a song, a shuffle for 12 bar, cool half measure fills and even a nice walk up from the I chord to the V chord. As always all the tabs will be on the screen and you can go ahead and print everything that you want by becoming a Patreon.
