Online Sessions/Clases/Cours in Double Bass

Hi, and thank you for coming in :)

I have been a professional musician for over 20 years (double bass, electric bass, piano, arranger, composer and music teacher). I was born in Serbia and I've also been living in Austria, Spain and France. I spend most of my time in Barcelona, from where I also teach private lessons online. As usual, they are suited, prepared and developed according to your level and your objectives. iI you prefer, we can also communicate in French, Spanish, Catalan or Serbo-Croatian.

I've studied music, bass and double bass in Serbia ('Stankovic', Belgrade), Austria ('Universitat für Musik und darstellende Kunst', Graz) and Spain ('L'Aula de Música moderna i jazz', department Berklee School of Music, Barcelona) with Wayne Darling, Horacio Fumero and David Mengual. I have long experience of teaching music to different ages, from 10 to 56 years old. I also do regularly, since 2007, an educational musical theatre for primary school children all around Spain, about music from the Balkans, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Education.

My sessions are for all ages, also for all kinds of levels, from beginners to professionals. I will not say that there is a short way to learn, but there are certainly some ways more interesting than the others. Especially if we pay attention to avoid / correct bad positions (arms / body) in order not to develop tendinitis, so we can enjoy having fun playing JAZZ, CLASSIC, LATIN, WORLD MUSIC (especially from the Balkans), etc ...

I play German model bow, but I teach both French and the German. I use (or I adapt, it all depends on the student) the methods developed by Ludwig Streicher, Eduard Nanny and Bass Institute of Technology. I recommend headphones or, even better, speakers with a good low frequencies response, which unfortunately is not always the case with laptop speakers. Also, connect with the cable instead of WiFi, it ensures a good connection and - we are in the same room :))


Sessions can be based on:

- Introduction

- Functions in the orchestra

- Learning songs

- Construction / development of bass lines

- Sight reading

- Classical / jazz harmony and music theory

- Improvisation, etc


Don't get scared with a size of this instrument :)) because it also offers a whole world of possibilities, to express yourself as a musician and artist. Your success is my success too.. I have been teaching since 2004 and I have seen that everyone goes through the same or similar, so following you through a screen is not a problem for me. In addition, you're able to save your time and money, because it's possible to take a lesson without going out and taking transport. Or you can just go wherever you feel confortable and want to enjoy your lessons. But make sure you have a signal over there :)))

I offer different sessions, depending on your necessities:
- a 4 sessions month pack, 1h per week (81 €),
- an occasional session of 1h30 (27 €) and
- 1 hour sessions at a reduced price for students up to 14 years old (18 €).
Payment can be made via PayPal or the international bank transfer.
