Several high-profile musicians and artists have cancelled their performances and affiliations with the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (often referenced in news as the "Kennedy Center") due to the controversial and allegedly illegal renaming of the institution to the "Donald J. Trump and the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts".

The Kennedy family and legal experts contend the name change requires Congressional approval, which was not obtained.
