Young and upcoming visual artists in the Northern Cape, funded by UK-based Oxford University, embarked on an audacious project questioning the relevance of embalming in modern society. The project which ran for a month at McGregor Museum in Kimberley saw collaboration between the art, science and archaeology. Artists used their creative prowess to answer the question of what should be done with the dead, whose remains are displayed at museums around the world.
