DESCRIPTION:
This video explains a series of simple and effective composition techniques designed to help beginner photographers improve the balance and overall feel of their images. It focuses on understanding how space, symmetry, and subject placement influence the way a photograph looks and feels, and how small adjustments can make a scene appear more natural and visually engaging.
You’ll learn why giving space around objects is often more important than placing them on “rule of thirds” intersections, how symmetry can be used to create balance even when objects are not positioned symmetrically, and how to evaluate which parts of your frame contribute most to the strength of an image. These ideas are presented clearly and demonstrated in a way that makes them easy to apply in real shooting situations.
The goal of this video is to help photographers move away from rigid compositional “rules” and toward a more intuitive, structured way of seeing - one that leads to better-balanced, more intentional photographs straight out of the camera.
