In this video, I’m excited to share my very first sculpture of the year as we step into 2026. I’ll be demonstrating how I transform a simple cardboard box into a unique piece of sculptural art. You’ll see how I sketch my design directly onto the cardboard and then build it up, follow me on my journey as bit by bit I build my sculpture.

As for my professional background: I’m Makeda Esi Tawiah, an environmental creative practitioner and sculptor who specialises in using upcycled materials to create unique works of art. My work focuses on transforming discarded items into meaningful sculptures, and I often run workshops to empower others to tap into their inner creativity and be kinder to the environment.
