Mexican authorities have captured Ovidio Guzmán, a son of incarcerated drugs kingpin Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán, prompting a furious response from cartel gunmen in the northern city of Culiacán.

All major roads into Culiacán, a major stronghold of the Sinaloa cartel, were blocked with burning vehicles, and gun attacks were launched on Culiacán international airport and a military airbase. Eighteen people have been reported wounded.
