The marble sculpture Memorial to a Marriage was originally displayed over Cronin and her wife’s plot in a Bronx cemetery.
Fearing vandalism, Cronin made a mold of the original and, some time later, produced a bronze copy.
The bronze version now sits atop the burial plot, while the original marble sculpture is, as of 2025, on display at the National Academy of Design.
