ZamaNguni Gumede, the mother of the late KwaZulu-Natal artist Mandla 'Mampintsha' Maphumulo has passed away at a Durban hospital after a short illness.
Her passing comes barely a month after the death of her son, gqom music pioneer and kwaito artist Mampintsha.
Mampintsha passed away in the hospital on the 24th of December after suffering a minor stroke.
Mampintsha's sister Smangele Gumede has confirmed the passing of their mother.
