Learn This To Expand Your Vocal Range

For years, I believed my vocal range ended where my vocal break started — and I know I’m not alone in that.

In this video, I share the seven things I had to learn before I could begin to expand my vocal range in a real, usable way. Not higher notes on a lucky day, but notes I can rely on night after night without strain.

These lessons came from experience — as someone who thought of himself as a guitar player first and a singer second, and who made just about every mistake in the book, while also going through vocal training as part of that journey. Learning how to apply that training in a practical, real-world way took time and experience.

This video leans heavily into mindset, because that’s where most singers get stuck — but I also share practical demonstrations so you can start applying these ideas to your own voice right away.

And if you think your vocal range is fixed, or that you’re too old to improve it, let me just say this:
I can sing higher now at 51 than I could at 25.
