Thursday is the final day for Las Vegas residents to submit feedback on proposed changes to the city's noise ordinance, which could impact the Arts District.
Councilwoman Olivia Diaz, who represents the area, emphasized that this is just the beginning of a lengthy process.
"As a city, we were evolving just like we humans evolved. We're no longer in our teens; we're in our 20s, and then from our 20s, we enter our 30s. At this point, things need to change and happen for us," said Diaz. "The arts district, you know, just looking 20, 25, 30 years ago was nothing like what the arts district is now."
Earlier this month, the city began gathering feedback from businesses in the Arts District about the potential impact of the proposed ordinance changes.
The initiative has garnered significant attention from those who live, work, and play in the area.
Diaz stated that there is much to be done before any official decisions are made.
