I bought a new toy for this commission. A sports drink bottle so I could squirt large amounts of iso alcohol onto the yupo paper in a steady stream. One of the most difficult parts of creating this large scale fluid art piece was changing the proportions, but it was looking too busy and a bit chaotic when I stood back and viewed it the way one does for a larger piece. The pipettes I was using weren’t giving me the effect I needed so I made changes. Adapting can be tough pull to swallow but I adjusted to the new tool quickly and was able to create larger streams of color the way I envisioned.
