Monumental Monday: Know your intention before you sit down and play.
.
.
.
Music tells a story, but we can’t help tell that story if we are not intentionally playing parts to explain it.
This intentionality looks different for everyone because we all find ourselves in different situations.
For some, it could look like the structured out time for practice, and for others, it could be creating parts for a session.
These small moments of being intentional all help you develop the tools necessary to take the listener through the experience of the story told through the music that we create.
When it’s all said and done, it all comes down to us being intentional with our time, sound, and playing that all will point back to serving the music with intention.
What did you guys think? Are you intentional with the time you have when it comes to playing drums? Could you be more intentional? Can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments.
PS: In this video, I am using this Hendrix Drums 14” x 6.5” Bubinga Perfect Ply snare drum. It’s a major sleeper in the arsenal. ????????????.
Have a wonderful start to your week y’all!! Love you guys! Stay Safe! Okay. Byeeeee.
????????????????❤️✌????
