Things to watch out for ...
1. PERSONAL NOTE .... this is quick! I find it really quite hard to believe that at grade 6 Trinity expect you to play at this speed! Why they did n't record a slower tempo I don't know. Such an iconic riff but unfortunately placing this out of reach of most students at this stage. When they do their grade 8 they will have the velocity skills to play along?!
2. MEMORISE. Easy form, iconic riff so attention to velocity.
Work on Sections with a metronome building up 120, 130 .... 170
Shuffle Rhythm (Right hand)
Intro Riff
Solo (I suggest prepare every note don't leave it to impro?!)
Outro (also plectrum exercises, strumming 2 strings)
3. LISTEN to the original
4. USE the "PLAYBACK SPEED" in settings to work with at 0.5 or 0.75 speed. Here you can pick up more detail in the piece and work up to full speed aiming to play along.
