It’s giving Harold & The Purple Crayon ????️ Breakdown below! ????????

Here’s a tutorial on how I did this squiggle self portrait photo shoot, inspired by the pattern on my jumpsuit!

????️ I shot a photo with my Canon R5 and my brand new Canon RF35mm F1.4 lens! (screaming) I shot with two strobe lights and my camera settings were ISO 100, F2.8, 1/200.

????️ I made initial edits in to lighting, colors, did some retouching to the backdrop, and used masks to even out shadows.

????️ I brought the image into to start drawing squiggles using the pen tool, using the eyedropper tool to select the same pink color from the jumpsuit.

????️ After my squiggles were complete, I used the Liquify tool to warp some of the lines and also used the Twirl Clockwise setting to make a spiral effect. Last I added some noise to the lines for some texture!

I am SO new to using Photoshop in this way to add illustrations (girl I am just winging it) so would love to know what you think! ????????
