Inside the mind of Dark Artist, Chet Zar!

If you’re getting into the Halloween spirit by watching horror classics like “The Blob,” “Hocus Pocus,” and “The Ring,”, then you’ll be familiar with the work of legendary Dark Artist, Chet Zar! Chet is known for his masterfully eerie paintings, designs, sculptures, and special effects make up, as seen in films like “Hellboy,” “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Planet of the Apes,” “The Rock,” “Men in Black II,” “Ghost in the Machine,” “Darkman,” and many others, as well as music videos and live shows for the metal band, Tool. In this interview, Chet talks to Bobby about leaving the movie industry to pursue fine art, the pivotal role that art played in his childhood, his fascination with strange and dark imagery, making original frames for his paintings, paranormal experiences, how he sets the pricing for his paintings, and advice for other fine artists.
