Step into Gökşın’s sculpture studio, where decades of creative storytelling meet hands‑on artistry and heartfelt moments from fellow sculptors.
In this workshop feature, internationally renowned sculptor Gökşın Carey guides fellow artists through the creative process, sparking inspiration and fostering community. Her students share heartfelt reflections — from returning to art decades later to capturing the spirit of their subjects in clay.
One participant says, “This workshop reminded me that it’s never too late to find your artistic voice.” Another recounts training an Andalusian stallion and sculpting him to celebrate the deep trust between horse and rider.
Beyond her workshops, Gökşin is an Associate Member of the National Sculpture Society (NSS), a Member of Virginia Equine Artists, Certified (2009) by the American Academy of Equine Art, and Virginia Representative for the Tri State Sculptors. She has also been a TATV host, sharing stories and culture for over 20 years.
