Take a peek inside the studios with the Pre-professional Division students at Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School!

The Pre-professional Division trains the next generation of professional dancers, ages 13 and up, with a career-track curriculum inspired by the realities of a professional ballet company. The student body is made up of students from across the nation and the world. Faculty members bring perspective from a diverse range of professional dance companies and work closely with PBT Artistic Director Susan Jaffe to instill a style that reflects their vision and adapts well to the demands of a professional ballet company.

Highlights of the Pre-professional Division program:
- Performance opportunities through: Company performances including The Nutcracker 2021, year-end School showcases, PBT Arts Education programming
- Classes 5 days a week with a diverse curriculum including ballet, variations, modern, contemporary, Pilates and repertoire
- University Credit Program
- Choreographic opportunities
- Dancers in the Pre-professional Division program may be considered by Susan Jaffe for apprentice positions with PBT company
