Iconic artistes to mark 40 years in entertainment

This year's Crop Over Festival will see five iconic artistes marking 40 years in the entertainment industry.

As such, the National Cultural Foundation's Soca 4.0 will feature these five and former Party Monarchs of soca who are all celebrating 40 years in the entertainment industry.

The icons are Lil Rick, Edwin, Peter Ram, TC, and Blood.

The icons each have chosen other entertainers to be a part of their team to perform during their respective sets.

Among those chosen are King Bubba, Hypasounds, Marzville, Mikey, Nikita, Leadpipe & Saddis, Mole and other up and coming artistes such as Baje to the World winner Kyrique.

The event is slated for Sunday, August 6 at the National Botanical Gardens.

Chief Executive Officer of the National Cultural Foundation Carol Roberts-Reifer at the launch of the event, said it was important to celebrate these pillars of soca but to also continue to take our product and people to the world.

She says there will be some rebranding done for the artistes.
