A year ago today, I completed my first sculpture of a horse, a Norwegian Fjord mare small enough to fit in your hand. I sculpted her in Milliput over a wire and foil armature in 1:28 scale, then later made a mold, poured the resin and painted the copy. The whole adventure took me over a year to complete. I hope to have one painted in every Fjord color ????

✨MATERIALS & PROCESS✨
If you enjoy longer process videos, I have a vlog about this entire artistic journey on my channel, complete with list of materials in that video’s description.

✨FAQ✨

- “What clay do you use?”
A: I’m currently using epoxy putty (usually Milliput brand), polymer clay (Sculpey) or plastilina clay (Van Aken & Sargent brands)

- “Favorite paint brands?”
A: It always varies. Right now my favorite acrylic brands are Golden & Amsterdam. Favorite oils are Daniel Smith, Gamblin, Winsor & Newton & Sennelier

- “Do you have tips on —insert topic—?”
A: I share a lot of tips, materials & full start-to-finish process vlogs behind many of my painting, sculpting & design projects on my YouTube channel @BlueMountainStable

- “Do you take commissions? Sell your work? Will this be cast? etc?”
A: I’m a hobbyist creating projects for my own personal enjoyment. Sharing the stories of how my projects are made is how I choose to give back to the hobby at this time.

- “Can you make a —-insert animal— or paint my pet?”
A: Follow my IG/YouTube because one day you might find I sculpted/painted/drew an animal you love too! I don’t, however, take pet portrait requests/commissions.
