We explore the alchemy of a kick, and how to compose and construct it for awesomeness and attractiveness - for which there is a charge. The aim is to get the kick ready 'Out The Box,' so that you do minimal processing to get it to SLAP.

The same applies to the snare. We discuss sound layering techniques *Wink*. How and why I choose the snare layers I do. We talk about tuning your snare and what I found works well for most sonic goals. Shoutout to @Mix3dbyMark for the drum layers I used to layer this kit.

We lastly extend these tenets to the Toms. All five of them. Once we have the fundamentals, we are ready for the last step: Part 3 - that deep phase.
