Step 1: Identify the Tonic
The tonic is where the melody feels at home.
Pro tip: The last note of the song is often the tonic.
Step 2: Determine Major or Minor
Listen to the song's feel: Bright & happy (Major) or somber & sad (Minor).
It sounds bright, so let’s guess it’s a Major scale.
