How Photographers Make Friends (Japan Edition) ???????????? Photographing Strangers in Tokyo w/ 135m

Sony + Fuji + Viltrox = ????

I was in the Shinjuku area of Tokyo when I saw two photographers taking photos.

You guys I know I love meeting other photographers lol ????

So I walked over and asked what cameras they were using.

Turns out Sam and Alex both just bought @FUJIFILMjapan X-H2S cameras to document their first trip to Japan.

Now, if you’re outside of the camera community, you might not realize that sometimes photographers have rivalries with people who use competing camera brands. ????????

For example, sometimes people who shoot with Canon cameras clash with people who shoot with Sony cameras, etc.

But I’ve always thought that’s just silly lol.

In my opinion, you should just use whatever camera you feel most comfortable with! Any basically camera made in the last 5 years is going to be more than good enough for most people.

I personally use @Sony cameras. For my needs, the Sony ecosystem suits my style of photography the best, and I love my @SonyAlphaUniverse A7CII.

But I think ALL camera brands are pushing out awesome technology these days, and I particularly love Fuji's color science & film simulations.

ANYWAYS (nerd rant over lol) ????

I saw that they were using 75mm 1.2 lenses from @viltroxofficial, so I thought it would be a good time to test out my Viltrox 135mm lens. ????

For the photos of them together I used my trusty 35mm 1.4 GM, but for their individual portraits I used the Viltrox 135mm 1.8 LAB.

(I put the EXIF data under each photo, if you hold your finger on the video it will pause so you pause and can read it).

No matter what gear we’re all using though, I’m just happy to have a project that allows me to connect with other photographers all over the globe. ????????
