Answer: I buy blank glass cabochons from Amazon, and I make them myself with acrylic paint and nail polish. At any given time I have 30+ sets of eyes ready to go, I make them as I sculpt to keep the stockpile constantly available so I generally have whatever I need ready.
My absolute favorite trick is rolling out a piece of scrap clay and sticking the eyes in upside down. That is an absolute life saver, and headache avoider!
My absolute must haves for this are Glass Cabochons by Dophee on Amazon, Posca paint pens, and acrylic paint. My favorite brand of nail polish I use for these are Sally Hansen's Diamond Strength line, they're gorgeous.
