There is a sweet spot to aim for when you practice your guitar. It's the spot between where the work is hard, and where the work is too hard. To make your practice count, you want to find the zone where the chosen activity is hard enough to challenge your existing skills, but not so hard that you give up. If we're sitting in our comfort zone, we're not improving. If the work is too easy, we can get bored. If it's too hard, we'll get demotivated. But a challenge makes us grow. So we should push the boundaries in every practice. Ride the edge. Find the spot that challenges you, and target it.
