Footsbarn Theatre presents The Crock of Gold

Footsbarn Theatre and Glen Hansard discovering a mutual passion and fascination for James Stephen’s iconic novel, joined creative forces to breathe life into this unsung masterpiece.

Filmed and edited by Stephen Mogerely, the footage was harvested during last summer’s tour ’22’ , taking us to our most cherished tent site on the Dingle Peninsula above Baile Na Bpoc in the fields of Seamus O’ Beaglaoich.

Travelling onto The Galway Black Box Theatre and finishing in Stradbally at the Electric Picnic.

“The Crock of Gold “ will become a focal point of our documentary project already in progress “50 years of Footsbarn Theatre "

In collaboration with Myles O’Reiley, and others we will be collecting images , sounds , archival material , memories and interviews to recall our long journey .

Le Footsbarn Theatre et Glen Hansard ayant découvert une passion et une fascination mutuelles pour le roman emblématique de James Stephen, ont uni leurs forces créatives pour donner vie à ce chef-d'œuvre méconnu.

Filmées et montées par Stephen Mogerely, les images ont été récoltées au cours de la tournée 22 de l'été dernier, nous amenant à notre site de tente le plus cher sur la péninsule de Dingle au-dessus de Baile Na Bpoc dans les champs de Seamus O' Beaglaoich.
Nous nous rendrons ensuite au Galway Black Box Theatre pour terminer à Stradbally au Electric Picnic.

"The Crock of Gold " sera le point central de notre projet documentaire en cours " 50 years of Footsbarn Theatre ".
