Fire RISK is RISING - here's how we are preparing our Portugal farmstead EP84

???? Fire Risk Is Rising in Portugal — and this week, we’re taking action to protect our land. With summer heating up, we’re clearing dry brush, cutting and moving logs, and preparing our farmstead for both fire safety and winter warmth.

We start by cutting logs using our newly built DIY saw horse, then strip down a faulty brush cutter to see if it’s salvageable. With the driveway nearly done, we spread the final load of gravel before moving a big stack of cut wood up to our staging post. From there, it’s log by log to the barn — future firewood sorted! We also tackle the terraces with the battery trimmer to reduce dry growth and keep wildfire risk low.
