Feb. 26: François Pineau-Benois & Oulunsalo Ensemble in Concert #shorts

Oulunsalo Ensemble is a master-apprentice model orchestra founded and directed by Finnish violin/orchestra educator Sinikka Ala-Leppilampi. The orchestra frequently collaborates with local congregations and educational institutions while fostering country-wide and international connections as well.

Our guest orchestra educator/soloist François Pineau-Benois, a violinist and performer of the new generation, has been dubbed the "French virtuoso" by the international press. He entered the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris (CNSMDP) at the age of 14. He holds masters degrees in violin and chamber music from the CNSMDP and also studied with Régis Pasquier at the Ecole Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot. (https://en.francoispineaubenois.com/bio)

In addition to his soloist role in the concert, Pineau-Benois also offered a masterclass for the young student violinists playing in Oulunsalo Ensemble.
