Faint Afterglow, a group exhibition of works by 9 artists from the Korea and abroad, unfolds a field to explore a source of the artists’ innermost remembrances and experiences in the selected works. Although the initial motives and subjects for their creation might have faded over time, the artists’ imagination is either a new truth narrowing the niche or a window letting them encounter who they are. The exhibition space, where videos, sculptures, paintings, installations and photography coexist, functions as a microcosm which condenses uncertainty and turbulence of life and human consciousness. Consequently, it will provide an opportunity to seek out the beginning of profound emotions and experiences which shift into various outstanding visual achievements.

국내외 9명의 작가가 참여하는 그룹전, 《Faint Afterglow(희미한 잔광)》. 이 전시는 다양한 작가들의 선별된 작품을 통해 그 내밀한 기억과 경험의 원천을 탐색해 보는 자리이다. 작가를 추동했던 특정한 기억과 감정의 여운은 시간이 흐르면서 퇴색되었을지도 모른다. 하지만, 그 엷어진 틈을 메우는 상상력은 작가가 창조한 새로운 진실이고, 그가 누구인지를 들여다보게 해주는 창이다. 영상, 조각, 사진, 페인팅, 설치 등이 혼재된 전시 공간은 삶과 우리 의식의 예측 불가능함을 압축해놓은 소우주로 분하여, 다채로운 미적 결정체로 승화된 심원한 감정과 경험의 단초를 숙고해 보는 기회를 선사한다.
