Pour célébrer le 25e anniversaire de la fondation du territoire du Nunavut, au Canada, et le 65e anniversaire de la West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative de Kinngait (Cap Dorset, Ile de Baffin), le Centre culturel canadien re-déploie son exposition historique, Fantastique Kenojuak Ashevak (créée en 2013), en y ajoutant un nouvel ensemble de gravures et sculptures de la prestigieuse collection Claude Baud et Michel Jacot. L’exposition illustre à la fois la richesse d’une coopérative unique au monde et le regard d’un duo de collectionneurs franco-suisse qui a contribué, depuis des décennies, à faire connaitre l’art inuit du Canada en France. 
À cet ensemble exceptionnel s’ajoute ici un corpus d’œuvres inédites de la désormais célèbre Shuvinai Ashoona, petite-fille d’une figure majeure de la première génération d’artistes de la coopérative de Kinngait, Pitseolak Ashoona, que l’on retrouve dans la collection Baud-Jacot.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the founding of the territory of Nunavut, in Canada, and the 65th anniversary of the West Baffin Eskimo Cooperative in Kinngait (Cape Dorset, Baffin Island), the Canadian Cultural Centre is redeploying its historic exhibition, Fantastic Kenojuak Ashevak (created in 2013), by adding a new group of prints and sculptures from the Claude Baud and Michel Jacot collection. The exhibition illustrates both the wealth of a cooperative that is unique in the world and the vision of a Franco-Swiss collector duo who have been helping to raise the profile of Canadian Inuit art in France for decades.
This exceptional ensemble is complemented here by a body of new works by the now-famous Shuvinai Ashoona, granddaughter of Pitseolak Ashoona, a major figure in the first generation of artists from the Kinngait cooperative, who is also part of the Baud-Jacot collection.
