Exploring the remote Himalayan village of Gangaad

There is this beautiful remote Himalayan tribal village by the name of Gangaad in Govind National Park, Sankri Range, Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, India.
The climb from Taluka to Gangaad is roughly 8 kilometers long, and the settlement Gangaad is located right before the campsite on the opposite side of the river Thamsa. As we reach our campsite in Gangaad, we catch our first view of the settlement. Gangaad's dabha served snacks and cool drinks. Make sure to double-check the expiration date. Try the Rhododendron drink, which is unique to this region, at this dabha.

As you reach Gangaad, you will notice a track leading from Taluka. The bridge on the right leads to the settlement. Following that is our homestay, where we stayed. We had a group of 20 to 25 people and were able to sleep peacefully in this cabin. After crossing the bridge, the trail leads to Har Ki Dhun if we choose the uphill way, whereas the route to the left leads to Gangaad. We'll take this way to Gangaad village to investigate. I would recommend leaving Taluka early so that you may arrive at Gangaad by midday for lunch and then tour this lovely village thereafter. We arrived late, and I recorded with my phone camera, which was of bad quality.

I wish we had gone there during the day. The kids here were having a great time, which is something we can only wish for in our hectic city lives. What do you think?
