After enjoying a Christmas ski trip to the French Alps, we flew to the French Riviera (Côte d’Azur) to spend a few days relaxing and warming up, using Nice as our base to explore the coast.

In this travel recap, we wandered through the colorful streets of Nice, soaked in winter sunshine, visited the medieval hilltop village of Èze, and took a day trip to glamorous Monaco. While the water was too cold for swimming, the mild temperatures, festive decorations, and Christmas markets made winter the perfect time to explore.
