With three decades of production and DJing on his remarkable CV, it goes without saying that Ed Rush is an absolute master hand of experience and we are very lucky to have him with us this season.

Together with Optical they re-wrote the roadmap for a genre. Their seminal album Wormhole is still cited by so many as the best ever made and one that gave rise to the whole monster that is neurofunk.

To us, perhaps the most inspiring thing about Ben is that his passion, energy and creativity never stopped! He’s always stayed up to date with the latest production methods and has written music - prolifically - ever since.

This 90 minute masterclass is the first of two for this season from Ed Rush.

He kicks off by showing you around his DAW & weapons of choice, looking at a recent track of his and sharing some key technqiues he uses in the mix to create size and impact.

He then goes on to begin the main task for this season: writing a track totally from scratch….

Ben takes a vintage funk break, edits, reinforces and brings it up to date to work in a modern dancefloor focused neuro track. This is before in the next part setting to work designing bass, and all the other vibrant viral accompaniments you’ll find in an Ed Rush Track. ????????????
