ISH News representatives attended the India Deaf Expo in Chennai from 27th January 2023 to 29th January 2023.

In the exhibition of the Deaf Expo a lot of Deaf artists had put up stalls showcasing their talents in different art forms. One of them was Biswa, a Deaf woodcarver.

He had hand carved wooden sculptures of famous Deaf news anchors - Mr. Harish Bhatia and Mr. Rajesh Ketkar. This was a way of paying his tribute to the Deaf anchors for providing accessibility. We hope he trains other Deaf individuals like him and empowers them to earn a living.
