15th Anniversary! Part two of Dawn To Dusk: A Journey Through Landscape with Peter M. Hicks. This was made in 2010 and was the first feature collaboration between Peter and Nicholas. Nicholas grew up in Danby, North Yorkshire and met Peter in his teens. He did a study on Peter's work and influences for his 6th form studies. Later, when Nicholas was working as a video editor in London, he contacted Peter about a possible film following the creation of one painting from start to finish (inspired by a film called El Sol del Membrillo by Victor Erice). Once filming began, it was clear to both Peter and Nicholas that there was an opportunity to capture not just one painting, but a series. They decided to celebrate different parts of the day at different locations in the Esk Valley starting at Danby and heading towards Whitby. The DVD that was released in 2011 has been sold all over the world and led to Peter and Nicholas collaborating on further videos together. Now we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of these humble beginnings by allowing anyone to watch it. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making it.
