The unique final journey of one of Australia's most celebrated actors has been captured for a new documentary.

Trailblazing actor David Gulpilil died in 2021and one of his final wishes was to be farewelled in a traditional Yolngu funeral at his home in the remote Northern Territory.

And a note to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander viewers, this story contains the name and image of Mr Gulpilil, as per his family's wishes.
