Danse Rythmique was published in 1959 and was dedicated to Presti’s husband and duo partner, fellow guitarist Alexandre Legoya. This is a spirited work that “shows Presti's compositional preference for sequencing as well as her unique harmonic language, which is tonal but colored with chromaticism. Techniques are layered to create compelling and energetic music with a sense of forward direction” (Dr. Candice Mowbray).
Another important aspect of the piece is how, according to Dr. Mowbray, it emulates Presti’s style of playing by using “a wide range of tonal colors and articulations.”
