CRIME: Local Dancehall Artiste Among Two Shot Dead Overnight

One man is dead after he was shot and killed late on Sunday night.

Police reports say that 34 year old Issa Ambrose, who lived at Building 5 Pleasantville, was shot outside his apartment.

The incident occurred around 11:55pm.

A neighbour who heard the gunshots alerted Ambrose's mother who then called the police.

Ambrose a welder by profession was shot behind the head. He died on spot.

In a separate incident, a local dancehall artiste identified as Kyle George, alias Rebel 6, was shot and killed around midnight in Bon Air Gardens, Arouca.

According to police, George was playing video games when two men dressed in black broke into the house and shot him over 20 times about the body.

The attack happened just after 1am on Monday. George died on the scene.

The artiste previously released songs such as "Fully Dunce" and "Rifle War" and premiered the video for his latest song "Dem Know" only two days ago.

Rebel Sixx was also part of the International Soca Monarch 2020, appearing in the "Zesser Segment."

Investigations are ongoing.
