Falling notes - thick orange bars fall on white keys, and thin orange bars fall on black keys.

Bass notes - are generally shown as single notes for ease, but can be played as octaves (play the bass note shown with your thumb and play the same note an octave lower with your pinky.)

With a solo piece try to play the melody note(s) a little louder than rest, and keep the chords to the middle range. It's tricky at first but gets easier!

Sections - break the song down (Intro, verse, chorus, bridge etc.) and slow it down. Then gradually increase the speed until you have your performance piece. When learning a song section always learn the first 2 notes of the next section. When combining the sections you will find it is so much easier.

Video Speed - Click the cog at the bottom right of the video screen. Under playback speed you can slow the video down to help when learning a section.

Metronome - Don't worry about using a metronome while you are learning a song section. Once you can comfortably play it, then use a metronome to practice the section in time.
