CJI 2 Day 1 - Great Event But Something's Missing. . .

CJI 2 day one is in the books. Great event so far, but there is something missing compared to CJI 1. I mean, its hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice, but...

When I look at some of the differences from CJI 1 versus a lot of other events. And when I look at some of the more lackluster events in BJJ. I think there is 1 clear thing that leads to less high paced matches and less excitement for the crowd.

That's draws.

In my bearded opinion, I don't think you can have draws in a competition. Someone needs to get their hand raised.

Overall, I've enjoyed the event and had a lot of fun, but I think this is something that a lot of BJJ competitions that focus on submissions struggle with and 1 of the reasons I'm not the biggest fan of the quintet format.
