Can the cello play jazz? And can it substitute the double bass? Classical musicians (including me) have difficulties in playing Jazz, as we do not know the rules and the theory. I remember that years ago I took a jazz theory lesson for fun, and I remember how confusing it could be. Why did I take that lesson? It is because back at music school I played the piano as a second instrument, and wanted to try jazz. But no...hopefully in the future I will get back to it!
