The ominous title of the show is taken from “Red sky at night, shepherd’s delight. / Red sky at morning, shepherd’s warning”, an old saying that signals the impending threat of a storm. As the artist says, however, “The storm is already here”, referring to the constant cycle of global issues we hear about every day.
Through her unique form of magical realism, Reynolds attempts to navigate the information overload of contemporary media outlets and challenges the narratives that influence our view of the world.
'Red Sky at Morning' runs 24 April - 25 May 2024
Join us at Unit for an exclusive Private View of the exhibition on Friday 26 April at 6.30 - 8.30 pm.
