Inspired by a visit to the Museum’s Cast Gallery, Meg created a piece titled Letter to the Motherland. This video shows a glimpse into the artistic process behind the finished work.
The Ashmolean Cast Gallery is one of the oldest, largest and best-preserved collections of casts of Greek and Roman sculpture in the UK, containing some 900 plaster casts of statues, reliefs and architectural sculptures.
Next time you visit, be sure to ask our Visitor Experience Assistants for a stool, so you can pick up and sit down in front of any sculpture, artwork or object that inspires you and start creating.
