Full video May 3. Art Deco is one of the most iconic styles of architecture, furniture, and even fashion. But, it turns out, we've been doing it all wrong. It's not the glitz and glamour of a Gatsby party- it's the modern style that was developed in the 1910s to take us into the new era. It was intended to be a style of decorative art for all people, not just the wealthy. Only when it was stolen away did we end up with precious metals, towering columns, and ornate decor. The true "modern" style is colorful, crisp, and full of expression.
