Bangkok came alive in light, color, and celebration at the official opening of the Amazing Thailand Grand Diwali Festival 2025, held at Phahurat (Little India) and Khlong Ong Ang.
Organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and public–private partners under the theme “Light Unites Us,” the festival celebrates the enduring friendship between Thailand and India.
Presided over by Mr. Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, Minister of Tourism and Sports, with Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, in attendance.
The opening ceremony was joined by dignitaries and representatives from both countries including Mr. Wiput Sriwawurai, President of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council; Ms. Paulomi Tripathi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Thailand; Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of TAT; and high-ranking officers from the Tourist Police Bureau and Metropolitan Police Division 6, along with officials from Phra Nakhon and Samphanthawong District Offices, marking a momentous celebration of shared heritage and friendship.
