A Rainy Day at The Bamboo Forest - Chinese Zen Music - Chinese Bamboo Flute For Soothing, Meditation

Traditional Chinese music for sleep, soothing, meditation, healing and relaxation..

Peaceful music composed by Eskricke, featuring traditional Chinese instruments.

In this composition, I used the following musical instrument collection:

1) Xiao - A Chinese vertical end-blow flute. Generally made of dark brown bamboo. A very ancient instrument, developed from a simple end-blown flute used by the Qiang people of Southwest China.

2) Dizi - A Chinese transverse flute made of bamboo, widely used in many genres of folk music, as well as Chinese opera and the modern Chinese orchestra. Traditionally, the dizi has been popular among all people in China, partly because it is simple to make and easy to carry.

3) Shakuhachi - A longitudinal, end-blown flute constructed from bamboo. Introduced into Japan from China via the Korean peninsula during the Nara period (710 - 794).

4) Konghou - The konghou is an ancient Chinese harp. The konghou became extinct sometime in the Ming Dynasty. It was revived in the 20th century as a double bridge harp; the modern version of the instrument does not resemble the ancient one, but its shape is similar to Western concert harps.

5) Guqin - Guqin is a plucked seven-string Chinese musical instrument. It has been played since ancient times. The guqin is not to be confused with the guzheng, another Chinese long zither also without frets, but with moveable bridges under each string.

6) Yangqin - A dulcimer played with bamboo mallets. First arrived to China from the Middle East at the beginning of the Ming Dynasty (1368 - 1644).

7) Erhu - A two-stringed, bowed musical instrument, sometimes known in the Western world as the Chinese violin, dating back to the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). Most popular of the huqin family of traditional bowed instruments.

8) Zhong Hu - A Chinese viola, where zhong means middle. Developed from the erhu in the 1940s. Both the structure and performing skill of these two kinds of huqin are very similar, but the Zhong Hu has a deeper-sounding timbre.

9) Pipa - Sometimes known as the Chinese lute, the pipa is a four-stringed, plucked instrument with a pair-shaped body. The Pipa is one of the most popular Chinese instruments and has been played for almost two thousand years, originating in the Han dynasty.

(These have been paired with Piano, Ambient Syth, and a Bass Guitar).

???? Message from the composer and creator of Ishikura Sounds:
"I love to compose and I started this channel with a simple vision: to create a place that you can visit in order to feel soothed & inspired. I compose music using traditional Chinese instrumentation that can be labelled as for example: sleep music, calm music, yoga music, study music, peaceful music, healing music and relaxing music. I enjoy spending time on each piece, and I put a lot of work into building textures that can transport you to a place of relaxation and happiness.

Thank you very much for listening and for leaving feedback. I am very humbled by your warm support and it really inspires me to work even harder on my music. If you enjoy my work, I would be very happy if you decided to subscribe and join our community. Have a wonderful day or evening!"
