June 5 is the United Nations World Environment Day — a day for environmental action. VF at Home presents this exclusive conversation as a contribution to the Beethoven Pastoral Project — an online event featuring artists making their statements for climate protection in the spirit of Beethoven’s Sixth Symphony, the Pastoral. Academy Director Stephen McHolm speaks with composer and electronic musician Gabriel Prokofiev about his work-in-progress for chamber ensemble, electronics and field samples in response to the great Beethoven symphony and commissioned for the Academy’s musicians.
