"Lorena" remains a Category 1 hurricane southwest of Baja California Sur, according to the National Meteorological Agency.
The agency detailed that the phenomenon is located 255 kilometers from Cabo San Lucas, and is causing heavy rainfall in Baja California Sur, Sonora, and Sinaloa.
Accumulated rainfall as of this morning is 113 millimeters in San José del Cabo, and rain is expected to continue throughout the day.

The storm is expected to make landfall on Friday as a tropical storm near Punta Abreojos, Baja California Sur.
