6 Peintres sur Ordinateur (6 Painters and a Computer) 1985

The concept for this video was by Chiara Boeri, the digital artist wife of Cesare Massarenti, one of the owners of Computer Video Film. CVF were the first owners of a Quantel Paintbox in France and hoped to become the "digital house of Medici" by inviting many artists to use their Paintbox.
The short film was funded by Jack Lang, France's Minister of Culture, and broadcast in May, 1985. The six artists who used the Paintbox to try their hand at digital art for the first time were:
Edouardo Arroyo
Francois Boisrond
Louis Cane
Lea Lublin
Kiki Picasso
Hervé Télémaque

The concept predates the 1987 "Painting With Light" series on the BBC, which also invited 6 artists to use the Paintbox to create their first digital art, though added footage and voiceovers of the artists at work.

The video was lost until being found and restored by the Adrian Wilson Quantel Archive in 2023. the restored video was premiered at the Computer Arts Society Paintbox Exhibition at the British Computer Society in London by Cesare Massarenti in December 2023
