Leon Fleisher would have celebrated his 95th birthday on July 23, 2023.

This tribute was conceived and organized by pianist, teacher, and writer Lydia Sheifter. Lydia came of age as a pianist listening to recordings of Schnabel and Fleisher. After studying at Oberlin, she was invited to study with Claude Frank, Fleisher's "Schabelian brother." Leon Fleisher is her "musical uncle."
